- CMM Operation & Programming: Develop, debug, and run CMM programs (offline/online) using software like PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or Hexagon/Romer arm.
- Inspection & Metrology: Perform complex dimensional inspections of components, tools, and fixtures using CMMs, surface plates, and handheld metrology tools (micrometers, gauges).
- Technical Drawing & GD&T: Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
- Quality Control & Analysis: Analyze measurement data to identify trends, perform Gage R&R studies, and generate inspection reports to support PPAP and APQP processes.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
- Calibration & Maintenance: Ensure proper calibration, accuracy, and maintenance of CMM equipment and fixtures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 2–6 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance/inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMM software (e.g., PCDMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, Polywork).
- Expertise: Deep understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and precision measurement techniques.
- Standards: Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
