In this role, you will act as a key procurement professional responsible for electrical / electronic commodities supporting eMobility business, while also providing structured support to factory logistics operations. You will contribute to sourcing strategy execution, supplier management, cost competitiveness, and smooth material and logistics flow across project lifecycles.
The position is an individual contributor role that provides strategic Support for their assigned commodities within eMobolity business.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in SCM with large multinational engineering / manufacturing companies.
- Find the best solution and suppliers for respective demand considering project needs and commodity strategies to ensure a long-term, cost-efficient supply of material
- Should have a good understanding of direct supply market structure, demand supply dynamics, and supplier economics. (Must)
- Domain hands on experience for 4 to 6 yrs in Electrical equipment project management, engineering or manufacturing is highly desired.
- Creates and implements business-specific initiatives and measures based on respective commodity strategy in alignment with Siemens’ Ecosystem strategy and business objectives
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, along with ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders on different management levels;
- Prepare, negotiate, award and make available frame contracts & price lists for strategic suppliers in accordance with business and market requirements
- Close cooperation and exchange with internal and external stakeholders
- Generate, document and implement savings measures, supervise and report relevant KPI
- Drive early procurement / supplier involvement and cost out activities via respective Commodity Circles
- Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures.
Logistics Support Responsibilities:
- Handling of Daily logistics operations.
- Collaborate with internal customers to achieve defined revenue targets.
- Vendor Purchase order management & vendor bill processing & Transit claim management.
- Keep track of product cost and intimate concern persons in case of any cost overrun.
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:
- B Tech electrical engineering, Supply Chain Management with minimum of 4 years’ collective experience working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, discipline, or similar function
- Advanced MS Office applications skills (particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SAP
- Advanced knowledge of sourcing processes. Experience handling Long Term Contracts and negotiating complex terms and conditions.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical supply chain market and changing global trends and processes for assigned commodity. Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to lead change.
- Set up RFQ process, including supplier onboarding, qualification of suppliers. Strong strategic mindset
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders is important
- Proactive with the ability to influence and challenge the status quo
- Ability to drive performance improvements
- Great teamwork and collaboration
- Self-motivated, highly driven and results focused
- Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, vendor relations, quality assurance and supply
