Experience: 5–7 Years (Automation / SPM Background)

Software Skills Required
- SolidWorks (3D CAD)
- AutoCAD (3D Designing & 2D Drafting)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Key Responsibilities & Expertise Required
Design & Development
- Structural and sheet-metal fabrication design with proper engineering calculations
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design calculations
- Conveyor system design including:
- Chain pull calculations
- Load calculations
- Automated material handling and storage systems
- Concept design and full / partial product development
- Preparation of accurate Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Development of detailed 2D drawings and 3D models
- Troubleshooting and resolution of design-related issues
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Electrical, Software, and Project teams
- Ensure timely delivery of design outputs meeting technical requirements
- Support prototype development, testing, verification, and validation activities
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Analyze feasibility of workplace improvements and change management initiatives
- Conduct research on green initiatives, energy-efficient solutions, and product innovations
- Implement approved green and sustainable design practices
- Review design drawings for manufacturability, practicality, and design efficiency
Team & Project Management
- Lead and mentor a small team of design engineers
- Resource planning and task allocation
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical testing of prototypes
- Evaluate potential intellectual property (IP) infringements as per company procedures
- Use data analysis to establish and validate design-related assumptions and hypotheses
