## About the Role
Virtuous Group is looking for a creative, proactive, and growth-oriented *Social Media Intern* who understands how social media platforms work and has practical experience in increasing reach, engagement, followers, and brand visibility.
We need someone who can contribute ideas, create engaging content, monitor performance, and help us build a stronger presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms. This position is ideal for someone who views social media as a growth channel—not merely a place to upload posts.
## Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning and executing the monthly social media content calendar.
* Create engaging posts, captions, carousels, stories, and short-form video content.
* Help grow the company’s followers, reach, engagement, and overall brand visibility organically.
* Research industry trends, relevant topics, hashtags, keywords, and competitor strategies.
* Develop creative content ideas suited to LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
* Coordinate with designers, video editors, and other team members for content production.
* Assist in shooting and editing reels, short videos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
* Engage with followers by responding appropriately to comments and messages.
* Monitor social media performance and prepare regular reports on reach, engagement, impressions, follower growth, and other key metrics.
* Identify what is working, what is not, and recommend practical improvements.
* Support campaigns, webinars, events, product launches, and brand-building initiatives.
* Maintain consistency in the company’s brand language, visual identity, and communication style.
## Required Skills and Experience
* Prior practical experience managing social media pages, either professionally, independently, or through previous internships.
* A clear understanding of how to grow social media accounts organically.
* Knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, reels, stories, hashtags, and platform algorithms.
* Good writing and communication skills in English.
* Ability to write engaging captions and convert business ideas into simple, interesting content.
* Familiarity with Canva and basic video-editing tools such as CapCut, InShot, or similar platforms.
* Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics.
* Creative thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work with deadlines.
* Willingness to learn, experiment, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Graduate, final-year student, or postgraduate student in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
* Experience working with B2B, export, manufacturing, MSME, consulting, or professional-service brands would be an advantage.
* A portfolio or links to social media pages previously managed will be preferred.
## What We Offer
* A monthly stipend of *₹16,000–₹19,000*, depending on experience and skills.
* Practical experience in social media growth, content strategy, and digital marketing.
* Exposure to international trade, global sourcing, MSMEs, and export-related businesses.
* Opportunity to work directly with an experienced and supportive team.
* A *certificate of internship completion* upon successfully completing the internship.
* An *experience letter*, if required, based on satisfactory performance and completion of assigned responsibilities.
* An opportunity to continue working with Virtuous Group as a *full-time Social Media Executive* if the intern demonstrates strong performance, commitment, creativity, and measurable results during the internship.
