About the Company
We manufacture high-quality laboratory furniture and cleanroom equipment for pharmaceutical, biotech, research, and industrial clients. Our products include laboratory tables, storage cabinets, trolleys, sinks, workstations, racks, and other custom sheet metal fabrications in SS304 and MS.
We are looking for a proactive Project Manager who can independently manage customer orders from Purchase Order (PO) to successful delivery.
Job Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fabrication projects. The role requires coordinating between design, procurement, laser cutting, bending, welding, grinding, powder coating, assembly, quality inspection, and dispatch to ensure projects are completed on time without production delays.
The ideal candidate should be capable of identifying bottlenecks, solving problems quickly, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring every department receives work at the right time.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning
- Receive and review customer Purchase Orders.
- Understand drawings and customer specifications.
- Prepare complete production plans and timelines.
- Track multiple projects simultaneously.
Material Planning & Procurement
- Estimate raw material requirements.
- Coordinate procurement of SS/MS sheets, pipes, hardware, accessories, fasteners, and bought-out items.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Production Coordination
- Prepare production schedules.
- Coordinate laser cutting, bending, welding, grinding, assembly, powder coating, and final assembly.
- Ensure every department receives work on time.
- Prevent idle time between production stages.
- Resolve production bottlenecks immediately.
Cut List & Drawing Management
- Prepare cut lists from AutoCAD/SketchUp drawings (preferred).
- Coordinate with the design team for manufacturing drawings.
- Ensure optimum material utilization.
- Minimize scrap and wastage.
Quality Control
- Verify dimensions after laser cutting and bending.
- Ensure weld quality meets standards.
- Inspect grinding and finishing before sending to powder coating.
- Check powder coating quality before assembly.
- Conduct final inspection before dispatch.
- Ensure products are packed safely for transportation.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Laser cutting vendors
- Bending vendors
- Powder coating vendors
- Transportation agencies
- Material suppliers
- Ensure committed delivery schedules are met.
Client Coordination
- Provide regular production updates.
- Communicate expected delivery dates.
- Inform customers about any delays with suitable recovery plans.
- Coordinate dispatch schedules.
Dispatch & Logistics
- Plan loading and unloading activities.
- Verify dispatched quantities.
- Ensure safe packing.
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules.
Documentation
- Maintain production trackers.
- Update project status daily.
- Track material consumption.
- Maintain vendor records.
- Prepare progress reports for management.
Required Skills
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication or fabrication industries.
- Good understanding of SS/MS fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of laser cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and powder coating.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings.
- Strong planning and coordination skills.
- Excellent vendor negotiation skills.
- Strong follow-up and execution capability.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- AutoCAD knowledge.

Experience
- 5–10 years in sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, production planning, or project management.
Education
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
