A housekeeping desk attendant is the central communications hub of a hotel's housekeeping department. They dispatch cleaning staff, coordinate room status updates with the front office, and handle guest requests for items like extra linens or irons. They also manage lost and found logs, maintain staff shift rosters, and log maintenance tickets
- Communication & Dispatch: Answer incoming calls, log guest requests, and dispatch the appropriate housekeeping or maintenance staff to address complaints or special requirements.
- Work Allocation: Assign daily duties, floors, and specific cleaning tasks to room attendants and floor supervisors based on workload, VIP arrivals, and occupancy levels.
- Room Status Management: Update room availability and cleanliness statuses (e.g., ready, out-of-order, or occupied) in property management software (PMS) to ensure seamless guest check-ins.
- Key Control: Monitor and maintain a strict log for departmental master keys and guest room master cards to uphold property security.
- Reporting: Compile and distribute daily housekeeping reports, including VIP amenities lists, minibar consumption forms, occupancy percentages, and discrepancy lists.
- Lost & Found: Document and safely store items left behind by guests, coordinating with management and security for their return.
- Shift Handovers: Maintain detailed shift logs to pass on pending requests, ongoing maintenance issues, and operational notes to the incoming control desk staff.
Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
