About the Role
Cogniter Technologies is hiring a skilled Android Developer to join our mobile development team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK, along with a solid understanding of UI/UX principles, app performance, and backend service integration. You will be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications that deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop advanced Android applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features
Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Integrate backend services using APIs and external data sources
Implement design architectures (MVVM, MVC, MVP) for client-side development
Manage app components including fragments and XML layouts
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and reliability
Work with Bluetooth device communication via Android SDK
Implement push notifications and integrate cloud messaging APIs
Research and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
2–5 years of hands-on experience in Android development
Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK
Solid understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with MVVM, MVC, and MVP architectures
Strong knowledge of fragments and Android XML layouts
Hands-on experience with Bluetooth communication using Android SDK
Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications
Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
Knowledge of Android Jetpack components
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
