Summary: Designalytica Pvt. Ltd. is looking for qualified candidates to apply for the Direct Hire Civil/Structural Engineer position in building industry to facilitate calculations, analysis, drawing revisions, etc.
Responsibilities (included but are not limited to):
- Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
- Review a variety of blueprints, calculations, construction drawings, specifications, plans and permit applications.
- Perform detailed structural and building plan reviews including loads analysis, computation of structural capacities, layout, material, construction methods, general design and specifications.
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards and structural analysis software.
- Provide drawings and produce sketches of designs to be incorporated in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
- Identify any project issues that may affect project quality, schedule, or budget to the Project Manager and Responsible Engineer as soon as it is discovered.
- Complete projects and assignments at or below proposed budgeted billable hours.
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
Required qualifications/ skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 3-5 years of work experience or a Master's degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering with minimum 1-3 years of work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired.
- Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and BIM modeling using Revit, data recording, and analyzation software.
- Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approaches.
- Familiar with structural glass and interlayer design.
- Working knowledge of mathematics as applied to engineering activities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively proven accuracy and follow-through.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with the International Building code and American Building codes including but not limited to ASCE7-16, AISC steel manual, ACI318-14 concrete code, NDS2018 wood code, ADM 2015 aluminum design manual etc.
- Intermediate knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD (Inventor and SolidWorks a plus).
- A flexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs.
- Superior task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, and following-up.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Entrepreneurial drive to develop and expand existing workflows and client bases.
- Enjoys conducting research to gather information and identify solutions.
