Fabric Manager – Garment Manufacturing
Location: Kolkata
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month
Job Summary
We are looking for a Fabric Manager to oversee fabric procurement, vendor coordination, and pre-production planning for our kidswear garment manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing fabric orders, ensuring timely deliveries from vendors, and coordinating with internal production teams to support smooth bulk manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle fabric sourcing and procurement based on client orders and production requirements.
- Coordinate with fabric vendors for quotations, order placement, and delivery schedules.
- Follow up regularly with vendors to ensure timely receipt of fabrics and materials.
- Manage pre-production activities related to fabric planning and allocation.
- Monitor fabric inventory and maintain stock records.
- Work closely with merchandising, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Track fabric consumption and minimize wastage.
- Ensure fabric availability for bulk production targets.
- Prepare reports related to fabric orders, deliveries, and pending requirements.
- Coordinate with management regarding production planning and order execution.
Requirements
- Experience in garment manufacturing, fabric sourcing, or fabric management.
- Knowledge of fabric types, consumption calculations, and garment production processes.
- Experience handling vendor management and purchase follow-ups.
- Understanding of pre-production processes in the apparel industry.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic reporting.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in kidswear manufacturing.
- Exposure to bulk garment production environments.
- Ability to handle multiple vendors and production schedules simultaneously.
Pay: ₹19,836.48 - ₹25,000.00 per month
