Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Field Quality Auditor to strengthen the quality of our field installations and after-sales operations. The role involves conducting regular on-site audits, verifying adherence to installation standards, inspecting electrical safety practices, reviewing earthing systems, and identifying process gaps that impact customer experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal installation teams, third-party vendors, service engineers, OEM customers, and management to ensure every installation meets company standards and industry best practices while improving installation quality and service turnaround time (TAT).
Key Responsibilities
Field Audits & Installation Verification
● Conduct scheduled and surprise audits of installations executed by internal teams
and external partners.
● Verify compliance with approved installation checklists, SOPs, and electrical safety
standards.
● Ensure installations conform to approved drawings, wiring practices, cable sizing,
protection devices, and commissioning procedures.
● Validate proper labeling, documentation, and workmanship at customer sites.
Earthing & Electrical Safety Compliance
● Inspect earthing pits and verify compliance with company and regulatory
requirements.
● Measure and document earthing resistance values using appropriate test equipment.
● Audit earth continuity, neutral-earth connections, cable terminations, and protection
systems.
● Identify potential safety risks and recommend corrective actions.
Vendor & Installer Performance Management
● Evaluate installation quality delivered by third-party contractors and service partners.
● Provide technical feedback and recommend retraining or corrective actions where
necessary.
● Track recurring issues and work with stakeholders to improve execution quality.
Reporting & Root Cause Analysis
● Publish weekly audit reports summarizing findings, compliance scores, risks, and
recommended actions.
● Maintain dashboards for installation quality, recurring defects, safety observations,
and closure status.
● Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for field failures and customer complaints.
● Present findings and action plans to project, service, quality, and leadership teams.
Process Improvement
● Recommend improvements to installation SOPs, checklists, and training materials.
● Standardize best practices across regions and vendors.
● Support initiatives aimed at reducing installation defects and improving first-time-right
execution.
● Drive continuous improvement in service turnaround time (TAT) and customer
satisfaction.
Stakeholder Coordination
● Coordinate with Projects, Service, Hardware, Quality, Customer Success, and
external vendors.
● Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) until closure.
● Support escalated customer cases requiring technical field validation.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics
Engineering.
● 4–8 years of experience in electrical installations, field engineering, project
management, commissioning, or quality auditing.
● Experience with EV charging infrastructure, industrial electrical systems, or
commercial installations is preferred.
● Strong understanding of earthing systems, MCBs, RCCBs/RCBOs, surge protection,
cable selection, and electrical safety practices.
● Familiarity with relevant Indian electrical standards and installation best practices.
● Ability to interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings.
● Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations.
Preferred Skills
● Strong analytical and root cause analysis capabilities.
● Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
● Experience conducting vendor audits and field quality inspections.
● Effective communication and stakeholder management.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and audit reporting tools.
