Job Description
The Building Contractor (TBC) is looking for an Architect to join our Design Team and work on residential and commercial projects from concept development through construction documentation.
The candidate should combine design creativity with practical construction understanding, ensuring that designs are functional, buildable and aligned with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts, layouts and design proposals.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections and presentation drawings.
- Develop residential and commercial building designs based on client requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate construction working drawings.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP and site requirements.
- Review design feasibility, dimensions, circulation, functionality and space planning.
- Participate in client meetings and understand design requirements.
- Prepare drawing revisions based on client and project feedback.
- Coordinate with Design Engineers, Estimation Engineers and Project Teams.
- Provide architectural clarifications and support during construction.
- Review material, finish and façade requirements where applicable.
- Support preparation of permit drawings and documentation when required.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions, project files and design documentation.
Qualification
B.Arch – Bachelor of Architecture
Preferred Skills
- Strong architectural design and space-planning ability.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of SketchUp and architectural 3D visualisation tools.
- Good understanding of residential construction and detailing.
- Ability to prepare and review working drawings.
- Understanding of Kerala building rules and permit requirements will be an advantage.
- Good presentation and client communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers and site teams.
- Creative thinking with strong attention to practical execution.
Experience
1–3 years of relevant architectural experience preferred.
Freshers with a strong portfolio, good design sense and technical drawing skills may also be considered.
