About the Role
Young Turtle LLP is seeking a highly analytical and research-driven Junior Research Analyst to support the development of quantitative trading and investment strategies in the Equity and Derivatives markets. The role involves market research, data analysis, model development, and strategy testing to identify profitable trading opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on equity and derivatives markets to support quantitative trading strategies.
- Develop and evaluate trading ideas using data-driven and statistical approaches.
- Analyze large financial datasets and identify predictive market signals.
- Build and test quantitative models, forecasting methods, and trading strategies.
- Apply statistical and mathematical techniques to improve strategy performance.
- Perform backtesting, simulations, and performance analysis.
- Process, clean, validate, and maintain research datasets.
- Prepare research reports and present findings to the team.

Preferred Qualifications
- CFA (Pursuing/Completed)
- CMT (Pursuing/Completed)
- CA
- MBA (Finance)
Required Skills
- Strong academic background in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Understanding of financial markets, especially Equity and Derivatives.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques such as time-series analysis, regression analysis, optimization, and forecasting methods.
- Ability to work with large datasets and extract actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently on research projects.
