Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 0–1 year of experience in quality or manufacturing (preferred)
Roles & ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Planning
- Assist in creating and implementing quality assurance processes
- Establish quality standards aligned with customer expectations and industry norms
- Detect quality issues and suggest corrective actions using root cause analysis
Inspection & Testing
- Oversee production activities to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Perform inspections, testing, and audits to identify defects or deviations
- Analyze test results and provide input for process enhancements
Issue Resolution
- Investigate product and process failures to identify root causes
- Apply corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with production, design, and cross-functional teams to address quality issues
Documentation & Reporting
- Keep detailed records of inspections, testing outcomes, and quality checks
- Prepare comprehensive reports and share findings with internal teams or management
- Ensure all documentation meets relevant standards and regulatory requirements
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Identify areas to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Support training sessions and awareness programs on quality standards and practices
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure products comply with standards such as ISO and other regulatory guidelines
- Support internal and external quality audits
- Coordinate with suppliers to verify incoming material quality
Key Skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of SPC, control charts, and quality tools
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or TQM principles
- Familiarity with quality systems and basic technical tools/software
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Education
- Diploma in Engineering (preferred)
