Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in:
- Cardiac Care Technology (CCT)
- Cardiovascular Technology
- Allied Health Sciences with specialization in Cardiology
- Certification in Echocardiography is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in performing echocardiography independently (preferred).
Essential SkillsTechnical Skills
- Perform 2D Echocardiography
- Perform Color Doppler Echocardiography
- Perform M-Mode Echocardiography
- Assist in Stress Echo procedures
- Conduct and record ECG procedures
- Knowledge of cardiac ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance
Clinical Skills
- Prepare patients for echo procedures
- Obtain accurate cardiac images and measurements
- Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac findings
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Assist cardiologists during specialized cardiac procedures
Documentation Skills
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports
- Ensure proper image storage and data entry in Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
- Prepare preliminary observations for cardiologist review
Soft Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain procedures to patients
- Patient-centered approach
- Teamwork and coordination with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency echocardiography examinations.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures.
- Acquire high-quality cardiac images for interpretation by the cardiologist.
- Maintain echo equipment and report technical issues.
- Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist in ECG, TMT, and other non-invasive cardiac investigations.
- Coordinate appointments and manage patient workflow efficiently.
Pay: Up to ₹27,000.00 per month
