Job Purpose
The Office and Plant Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of both the manufacturing plant and the attached administrative office. This dual-responsibility role ensures smooth production workflows, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, efficient supply chain/inventory management, and seamless day-to-day office administration and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities1. Plant & Production Management
- Daily Operations: Oversee the daily production schedule, ensuring manufacturing targets are met efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Resource Allocation: Manage floor supervisors, machine operators, and laborers; optimize workforce allocation based on production demands.
- Inventory & Material Management: Monitor raw material stock levels, oversee incoming components, and coordinate finished goods dispatch to minimize downtime.
- Quality Control: Ensure all manufactured products meet strict company quality benchmarks and client specifications.
- Maintenance & Automation: Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance for machinery and equipment to minimize breakdown times. (Experience with industrial automation or robotics is a plus).
2. Office Administration & Compliance
- Facility Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office and factory environment.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production output, operational costs, attendance, and inventory for senior management.
- Vendor & Client Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility complies with local labor laws, industrial regulations, environmental standards, and factory acts.
- Safety Enforcement: Implement and strictly enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across the entire site.
3. Team Leadership & HR Coordination
- Supervision: Foster a productive, disciplined, and motivated work culture across both office and factory staff.
- Attendance & Payroll Support: Monitor staff attendance, shifts, and leave records, coordinating with HR/accounting for accurate monthly payroll processing.
- Conflict Resolution: Address grievances or operational bottlenecks promptly to maintain workplace harmony.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience: [e.g., 5 to 8+] years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least [e.g., 2-3] years in a supervisory or managerial role handling both administrative and floor operations.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of factory workflows, inventory control, and supply chain logistics (experience in the automotive components or heavy engineering sector is highly desirable).
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and conflict-management abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask between office tasks and floor issues.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and ERP or inventory management software.
- Sharp problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
