Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician for Machine Shop operations to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, Turning, Milling, and other production machines. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth machine functioning, minimizing downtime, and maintaining machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown mechanical maintenance of CNC, VMC, Turning, Milling, Drilling, and other machine shop equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to spindle systems, guideways, ball screws, lubrication systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Carry out machine alignment, fitting, assembly, and replacement of worn-out components.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure maximum machine availability.
- Inspect and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Support machine installation, shifting, and commissioning activities.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Coordinate with production teams during machine breakdown and maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and service reports.
- Ensure proper lubrication and housekeeping of machines.
- Follow safety standards and maintenance procedures during work.
- Identify spare part requirements and support inventory management.
- Participate in continuous improvement and machine efficiency enhancement activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of machine shop mechanical maintenance.
- Experience in CNC/VMC machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
- Ability to perform fitting, alignment, and assembly work.
- Basic understanding of machine operating systems and mechanical components.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during machine breakdown situations.
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of machine shop equipment preferred.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in automotive or engineering manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and TPM activities preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
