In this role, you will equip our sales representatives with the tools, product knowledge, and selling strategies needed to maximize book sales across retail, wholesale, corporate, and educational channels. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the publishing lifecycle and a proven track record in B2B sales coaching.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Training Programs: Develop comprehensive onboarding and continuous training curricula for inside and field sales teams.Product & Market Coaching: Train representatives on how to effectively pitch upcoming catalogs, frontlist titles, and backlist deep-dives to diverse buyers.Channel Strategy Guidance: Educate the team on distinct sales strategies for independent bookstores, major retail chains, libraries, and academic institutions.Sales Enablement: Create and distribute high-impact training materials, playbooks, scripts, and digital pitch assets.Performance Evaluation: Conduct role-play sessions, shadow active sales calls, and provide constructive feedback to improve closing rates.Industry Trends Tracking: Keep the team updated on shifting consumer reading habits, retail market trends, and competitive publishing landscapes.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 3–5 years of sales training experience, specifically within the book publishing or media industry.Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the book distribution ecosystem, including wholesalers (e.g., Ingram, Baker & Taylor) and major retail accounts.Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, public speaking, and one-on-one coaching capabilities.Technical Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems (like Salesforce) and digital catalog tools (like Edelweiss or BookNet).
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
