Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, controlling costs, and achieving sales and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the café/QSR outlet.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the café team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, and coordinate timely procurement of supplies.
- Handle cash management, billing, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels and prepare employee duty rosters.
- Address customer queries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Control food costs, wastage, and operational expenses.
- Ensure cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and overall outlet presentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales reports.
- Coordinate with vendors and support departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Graduation in any discipline with relevant QSR experience will also be considered.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in café, restaurant, or QSR operations.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI/HACCP preferred).
- Experience with POS systems and billing software.
- Inventory and stock management skills.
- Cash handling and basic financial reporting knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
