We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our fabrication and manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, shop floor supervision, quality control, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and specifications in the manufacturing of piping, structural steel, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise fabrication and manufacturing activities on the shop floor.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conduct quality inspections and maintain quality records.
- Review fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and specifications.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor welding, fit-up, dimensional checks, and final inspections.
- Prepare production and quality reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-8 years of experience in fabrication and equipment manufacturing industries.
- Experience with piping, structural fabrication, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and process equipment.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, inspection, and quality control.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, BOMs, and fabrication standards.
- Knowledge of ASME, API, IS, and related industry codes will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD preferred.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
