PURPOSE
Create manage and implement breakthrough sourcing solutions for product lines procured goods and services across the organization.
Select vendors who provide value for money and can meet current and future business needs.
Develop sourcing strategies that create value-add to the business while managing risks.
Make a substantial contribution to the development of SITA Purchasing function.
What will you do
Pro-actively engage with business management to gain high quality market intelligence of relevant supply base and develop sourcing solutions that meet the defined business requirements at optimum cost.
Proactively identify threats and opportunities against current and future market dynamics to increase value optimize business performance and minimize risk exposure for internal customers.
Integrate Product and Service sourcing where appropriate to ensure end-to-end product solutions that fully meet customer goals.
Pro-actively ensure application of best SITA practice to eliminate unnecessary duplication and complexity across multiple Product lines/solutions.
Ensure sourcing solutions consider Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to enable business requirements to be met at lowest cost and optimum level of quality.
Proactively develop and manage strategic supplier relationships to maximize added value customer satisfaction and cost optimization.
Ensure compliance with the Purchasing Policy Purchasing Processes P2P and other purchasing systems for contract and purchase order process.
Develop and communicate appropriate internal business processes for all supply agreements.
Proactively identify implement and project manage cost reduction risk and service improvement programs.
Ensure records and justifications of savings achieved are maintained and reported on.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Strategic Procurement & Commercial Acumen
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align procurement initiatives with business objectives and deliver sustainable value beyond cost savings.
Deep commercial acumen, including an understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO), value drivers, supplier economics, and contract structures.
Negotiation & Contract Management
Advanced negotiation skills with a proven track record of leading complex commercial negotiations, balancing cost, quality, risk, and long-term partnership objectives.
Strong knowledge of contract management principles and experience negotiating commercial and legal terms with strategic suppliers.
Category & Supplier Management
Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and category management, including the development and execution of category strategies.
Ability to build and maintain collaborative, high-performing supplier relationships while driving supplier performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Risk Management
Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, operational, financial, and supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and regulatory compliance.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to align diverse perspectives and drive consensus in a matrixed environment.
Communication & Executive Presence
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex procurement insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Problem Solving & Decision Making
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge assumptions, identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and make data-driven commercial decisions.
Industry Knowledge
Global & Matrix Leadership
Experience operating successfully in global, multicultural, and highly matrixed organizations, with the ability to influence without direct authority across functions and geographies.
