Role Overview
You will lead cost‑accounting assignments and statutory cost audits while supplying robust cost data for anti‑dumping and other trade‑remedy calculations. The role balances classical cost‑audit compliance with forward‑looking cost analytics and advisory work for clients in manufacturing, export and trading sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Audit & Compliance
· Maintain cost records and prepare cost audit reports under Sec. 148 (short, e.g. CAS-4/CAS-5)
· Coordinate filings with MCA and liaise during board reviews
Cost Analytics & MIS
· Build and maintain cost models, standard costing, variance analysis and margin reports
· Use Excel, ERP data, CAATs and SAS Enterprise Guide to analyse large data sets and identify cost drivers, inefficiencies and savings
Budgeting & Advisory
· Assist clients in annual operating budgets, product‑pricing decisions and make‑or‑buy analyses
· Recommend cost‑reduction and process‑efficiency initiatives, track implementation benefits
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with statutory‑audit, tax and legal teams to ensure cost data integrity across audits, GST/Customs valuations and transfer‑pricing studies
· Train junior team‑members on cost‑accounting standards (CAS‑1 to 24) and SBA’s audit methodologies
Product Costing
· Prepare and maintain product cost sheets including material, labour and overheads.
· Analyse Bill of payments and process routine for cost accuracy
· Monitor and update Standard cost regularly and analyse variances from actuals.
· Conduct cost variance analysis including material price variance, usage variance, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption.
Qualifications & Skills
· CMA (ICMAI) with active membership and sound knowledge of CAS & cost‑audit standards
· 1–4 years in cost audit / management accounting; exposure to manufacturing or trade‑remedy assignments is a plus
· Proficient in MS Excel and exposure to Tally/SAP or similar ERPs
· Solid understanding of cost-accounting standards, variance and structural cost analysis
· Analytical, detail-oriented, and reliable under deadlines
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
· Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across team
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
