Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) – Job Description
Position Overview
The Chief Business Development Officer is a C‑suite leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s growth strategy. This role drives new‑market entry, forges strategic partnerships, and oversees all revenue‑generating activities, while mentoring a team of business‑development professionals and reporting directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business‑development plan aligned with corporate objectives, focusing on market expansion, product diversification, and strategic alliances.
- Identify and prioritize high‑value prospects, lead negotiations, and close complex deals that contribute to top‑line growth.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with key partners, channel allies, investors, and industry influencers.
- Oversee the creation of persuasive proposals, pitch decks, and go‑to‑market strategies; ensure consistent messaging across sales and marketing teams.
- Monitor performance metrics (pipeline value, conversion rates, partnership ROI) and adjust tactics to meet or exceed targets.
- Lead, coach, and scale a high‑performing business‑development team; establish best practices, training programs, and incentive structures.
- Collaborate with product, finance, and operations to ensure new initiatives are viable, scalable, and financially sound.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, investor meetings, and strategic forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth through new‑market entry, joint ventures, or channel partnerships.
- Strong financial acumen: ability to build business cases, forecast revenue, and assess partnership profitability.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; comfortable engaging C‑level stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset coupled with hands‑on execution—capable of translating vision into actionable plans.
- Experience with CRM platforms and data‑driven decision‑making tools.

- Compensation will be given based on the performance and intial peroid of joining would be considered as Training peroid.
- HE/SHE Should be fluent in the native language like Hindi, English ,Tamil, Telugu ,etc.
