Cloud Architect
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of cloud-based solutions that support business objectives. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for defining cloud strategy, designing scalable and secure architectures, driving cloud adoption, and ensuring operational excellence across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Strategy & Architecture
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, roadmaps, and best practices.
- Design end-to-end cloud solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Define cloud adoption frameworks and migration strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services, platforms, and technologies.
Cloud Infrastructure Design
- Architect highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud environments.
- Design infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures where required.
Cloud Migration & Modernization
- Lead application, database, and infrastructure migration initiatives.
- Assess existing systems and recommend modernization approaches.
- Design cloud-native solutions using microservices, containers, and serverless technologies.
- Support application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
Security & Compliance
- Implement cloud security best practices and security-by-design principles.
- Design identity and access management (IAM) frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to perform risk assessments and remediation activities.
DevOps & Automation
- Enable CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
- Drive automation for provisioning, monitoring, and operational management.
- Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and operational excellence practices.
Governance & Cost Optimization
- Establish cloud governance frameworks and operational controls.
- Monitor cloud consumption and optimize infrastructure costs.
- Define cloud policies, tagging strategies, and resource management standards.
- Support FinOps initiatives to maximize cloud value.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, enterprise architects, developers, and operations teams.
- Present technical solutions and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years focused on cloud architecture.
- Strong experience designing solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with cloud migration, modernization, and transformation programs.
- Knowledge of networking, security, storage, and computing services in cloud environments.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and design principles.
- Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation programs.
- Familiarity with FinOps, SRE, and cloud governance frameworks.
