Role description
a) Design and engineering in Process Engg, Coal Beneficiation covering the following:
- Conceptualization of schemes for new upcoming plants in area of Coal Projects.
- Detailed Construction Deliverables
- Vendor & Technology Supplier Management
- Estimation of Macro BOQs/Project Cost
- Health & Safety Management.
- Knowledge of Raw Material Processing and entire value chain.
- Understanding of Plant and Process Engg of Raw Material Processing and other auxiliary systems required for effective Design and Engineering.
- Co-ordination with other functions of Design and Engineering (Civil, Structural, BMHS, Utility & Water, E&I) as well as different verticals of E&P.
b) Documentation and record maintenance of engineering deliverables & reference documents
c) Ensure compliance to standards, norms, and design basis of plant in areas of Process Engineering – Coal Beneficiation.
Skills
- Ensure integrated way of engineering of plant & facility and take ownership for completeness, safety by design and reliability of system along with total cost of ownership.
- Assist in design & engineering from concept to commissioning of plant related to Raw Material Processing (specially Coal Beneficiation) specially including preparation of equipment sizing, technical specification, layouts, construction drawings for site implementation and all other basic, detail & procurement engineering.
- Preparation of FEL#3 documents and drive for completion of FEL#3 of project.
- Coordinate with technology suppliers, equipment vendors and other inter-departments for design & engineering.
- Assistance in Value Engineering.
- Carry out engineering calculations, material balance calculation, water balance, idea of latest technologies, simulations, and beneficiation practises.
- Participate in 3D model reviews of respective areas to check and comment 3D models.
- Good understanding of Engg deliverables such as Process Flow Diagram, Material Balance, P&IDs, GA drawings, BOQs, E&I requirements, Utility requirements etc.
- Capability to understand various process equipment of Coal Beneficiation and may be able to co-ordinate for engineering with BMHS, E&I, U&W and other engineering disciplines.
Other details
Engineering (BE / B.Tech)/Equivalent in Mineral Processing (preferred), Mechanical. B.Arch AICTE or UGC approved.
