We are looking for a practical, shop-floor-oriented Mechanical Production & Vendor Coordinator with 3+ years of experience to manage our outsourced machining work.
You will be responsible for handing over engineering drawings to external workshops, regularly visiting vendors to inspect the work on the machines, and ensuring that our parts (CNC, VMC, Wire Cut) are completed and delivered exactly on time.
Key Responsibilities (What you will do)
- Vendor Follow-up & Delivery: Keep daily track of all parts given to external vendors. Ensure they finish the work on time so our internal production never stops.
- Regular Shop-Floor Visits: Physically visit vendor workshops 3–4 times a week (or daily if needed) to check the actual live status of our jobs on their machines.
- Job Checking & Inspection: Read our engineering drawings and use measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.) to check the dimensions of the parts at the vendor’s shop before they pack and dispatch them.
- Problem Solving: If a vendor is facing a technical issue during machining, coordinate between our design/production team and the vendor to resolve it quickly.
Required Skills and Qualifications (What you must know)
- Machining Knowledge: Must have deep practical knowledge of how parts are programmed and run on:
- CNC Turning & Milling machines
- VMC (Vertical Machining Center)
- Wire EDM / Wire Cut cutting machines
- Drawing Reading: Excellent ability to read 2D/3D mechanical engineering drawings, understand tolerances, limits, fits, and surface finishes.
- Measurement Tools: Expert hand at using standard workshop measuring tools (Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Thread Gauges).
- Communication & Bike: Must be sharp and firm in taking updates from vendor supervisors. Must have a valid driving license for local travel.
Education and Experience
- Education: ITI (Machinist / Turner / Tool & Die Maker) OR Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- Experience: 3+ years of solid experience working in a machine shop, tool room, or handling vendor machining follow-ups.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: ₹30,000 per month (CTC).
- Travel/Fuel Allowance: Provided separately over and above the salary based on kilometer usage for vendor visits.

Pay: ₹20,086.00 - ₹25,868.43 per month
