An logistics manager directs the safe, compliant, and cost-effective movement of equipment, materials, and bulk products. Key duties include managing multimodal transport, controlling budgets, and enforcing safety rules.
Core Responsibilities
- Transport and Fleet Operations: Coordinate road, marine, and air shipments, manage schedules, and track cargo movements.
- Vendor and Cost Management: Negotiate contracts, monitor carrier performance, validate invoices, and control operational expenses.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards, handle hazardous materials regulations, and manage customs clearance.
- Risk and Contingency Planning: Mitigate supply chain disruptions caused by weather, port congestion, or remote site challenges.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience: 5+ years in oil or gas industry , heavy industrial, or supply chain management operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with ERP and transportation management software (TMS), plus knowledge of hazmat protocols.
- Core Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, risk assessment, and cross-functional communication
- Communication: In English and Hindi
- Computer knowledge: Having knowledge of Excel spread sheets, reporting and word documentation
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
