About the Role
Chitralekha Boutique Resort is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest comfort. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, responsible, and committed to creating a pleasant and memorable stay for every guest.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, and balconies according to resort standards.
- Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
- Clean and sanitize public areas, including the reception, lobby, corridors, staircases, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Ensure all rooms are guest-ready before check-in.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the concerned department promptly.
- Handle guest requests related to housekeeping in a timely and courteous manner.
- Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools properly.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Replenish housekeeping inventory and report stock shortages.
- Follow daily cleaning schedules and deep-cleaning plans.
- Coordinate with the Front Desk to update room status and occupancy.
- Assist in laundry operations, including collecting, sorting, folding, and distributing linens when required.
- Maintain cleanliness in staff areas, storage rooms, and housekeeping closets.
- Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Ensure lost and found items are documented and handed over according to resort policy.
- Support the housekeeping team during high occupancy periods and special events.
- Deliver exceptional service while respecting guest privacy and comfort.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10th/12th pass; Hotel Management or Housekeeping certification is an added advantage.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of housekeeping procedures and cleaning techniques.
- Physically fit and able to perform housekeeping duties efficiently.
- Good communication skills in Hindi; basic English is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Honest, punctual, and highly responsible.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
