Civil Engineer – JJM Projects

Experience Required
Minimum 5–10 Years of Experience in Civil Construction Works, with at least 3 years of mandatory experience in Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) / Water Supply Projects.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering may be considered for highly experienced candidates.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience in execution of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) projects.
- Experience in construction of:
- Overhead Reservoirs (OHR/ESR)
- Ground Service Reservoirs (GSR)
- Pump Houses
- Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
- Intake Structures
- Rising Main & Distribution Pipeline Networks
- House Service Connections (FHTC)
- Knowledge of PHE, CPHEEO, IS Codes and departmental specifications.
- Ability to coordinate with PHE Department, Consultants, Contractors and Local Authorities.
- Valid Driving License preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution
- Plan, supervise and execute JJM water supply projects as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure achievement of project milestones.
- Ensure quality construction practices and compliance with safety standards.
Survey & Pipeline Work
- Conduct route surveys for pipeline alignment.
- Supervise laying, jointing, testing and commissioning of DI, HDPE, DWC and GI pipelines.
- Ensure proper hydraulic testing and disinfection of pipelines.
Quality Control
- Verify quality of construction materials.
- Maintain records of cube tests, material tests and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with approved quality assurance plans.
Measurement & Billing
- Prepare and verify measurements.
- Maintain MB records and progress reports.
- Prepare contractor bills, subcontractor bills and reconciliation statements.
Coordination
- Liaise with PHE officials, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Attend review meetings and submit progress updates.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely material procurement.
Documentation
- Maintain site registers, DPR records, drawings and approvals.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain photographic records of project activities.

Salary
Negotiable based on qualification, experience and previous JJM project exposure.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in Assam PHE Department projects.
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
