Main job: Guide and support patients through their entire eye treatment journey.
Key duties:
- Counsel patients – Explain eye conditions, surgery options like cataract/LASIK, risks & benefits in simple language
- Cost & insurance – Break down treatment costs, lens options, and help with insurance/TPA/Aarogyasri approvals
- Coordinate care – Schedule surgeries, get consent forms signed, liaise between doctors, OT, billing, and patients
- Follow-up – Remind patients about post-op visits, meds, and collect feedback
Skills needed: Empathy, clear communication, basic eye care knowledge, and good coordination.
Basically, you’re the patient’s go-to person for clarity, comfort, and paperwork from OPD to recovery.
