Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Firefighting & ELV Systems to lead and manage fire protection and extra low voltage (ELV) system projects from planning to commissioning. The candidate will be responsible for project execution, client coordination, technical management, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and codes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
· Plan, execute, and monitor Firefighting and ELV projects from initiation to handover.
· Prepare project schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
· Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
· Develop project execution strategies and work breakdown structures (WBS).
· Review and approve shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.
· Ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, TAC, IS standards, and client specifications.
· Provide technical guidance for installation of:
- Fire sprinkler systems
- Hydrant systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Gas suppression systems
- Foam systems
- ELV systems (FIRE ALARM, PA system, BMS integration, etc.)
· Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP teams.
· Conduct site inspections and progress reviews.
· Resolve technical issues and design conflicts during execution.
· Ensure proper installation quality and safety compliance.
· Attend project review meetings with clients and consultants.
· Handle technical clarifications and design approvals.
· Ensure proper documentation for inspection, testing, and commissioning.
· Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material delivery.
· Review BOQ, material specifications, and vendor proposals.
· Monitor material consumption and inventory at site.
· Track project progress& milestones.
· Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
· Monitor cost control, billing, and cash flow.
· Ensure variation claims and change orders are documented.
· Plan and supervise testing & commissioning of firefighting and ELV systems.
· Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
· Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
· Ensure workforce productivity and safety compliance.
· Conduct team meetings and performance reviews.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Fire Protection Systems (Sprinkler, Hydrant, Fire Alarm, Foam).
- Experience in ELV systems integration.
- Knowledge of NFPA, NBC, IS codes.
- Strong project planning and leadership skills.
- Experience in AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, Excel.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
Educational Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Certification in Fire & Safety Engineering is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in industrial plants, commercial buildings, Residential buildings, pharma plants, data centers, or warehouses.
- Experience in multi-project handling.
