About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Product Development Engineer who enjoys solving design challenges, developing compact mechanisms, and converting concepts into functional products.
This position focuses on product development, assemblies, moving components, prototyping, and practical engineering solutions.
The successful candidate will work directly with the Product Director and will be responsible for transforming concepts into working CAD assemblies and prototype-ready designs.
Responsibilities
- Convert concepts and sketches into functional mechanical designs
- Develop compact mechanisms and assemblies
- Design moving components, hinges, sliders, locks, rotating parts, and similar systems
- Create CAD models, assemblies, and prototype files
- Participate in prototyping and testing
- Identify design issues and propose practical solutions
- Maintain project documentation and design revisions
- Communicate regularly regarding project progress and challenges
Requirements
- Experience with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software
- Strong understanding of assemblies and moving mechanisms
- Good problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Good communication skills
- Ability to discuss ideas, challenges, and design solutions directly with management
