Job Summary
Shanthi Bhavan Old Age Home is looking for compassionate, dedicated, and responsible Staff Nurses to provide quality nursing care and support to elderly destitute residents. The candidate should be willing to stay on the premises and work with empathy, patience, and commitment.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medicines to residents in the morning, afternoon, and evening as per the medication schedule.
- Prepare and maintain an updated medicine chart for each resident, including medicine name, dosage, frequency, and administration timings.
- Ensure medicines are administered accurately and on time.
- Maintain medicine stock and prepare medicine requirement lists for procurement.
- Assist the visiting doctor during medical rounds and examinations.
- Record the doctor's instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations.
- Update residents' medical records after each doctor's visit.
- Monitor residents' health conditions and report any health concerns or emergencies to the doctor and management.
- Check and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood sugar as required.
- Provide personal care to elderly residents, including bedridden patients.
- Change adult diapers and maintain personal hygiene.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist residents with feeding when required.
- Assist residents with mobility and reposition bedridden patients to prevent bed sores.
- Perform basic nursing procedures and first aid whenever necessary.
- Coordinate with visiting doctors, hospitals, laboratories, and pharmacies.
- Ensure residents' rooms remain clean, tidy, and hygienic.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of bathrooms used by residents.
- Supervise and guide caretakers in providing proper resident care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and caring environment for all residents.
- Follow infection prevention and control practices.
Eligibility
- GDA / GNM / ANM / B.Sc. Nursing qualification.
- Experience in old age homes, hospitals, palliative care, or patient care is preferred.
- Freshers with a caring attitude are also encouraged to apply.
- Physically fit and willing to assist bedridden residents.
- Honest, compassionate, patient, and responsible.
- Willing to stay at the old age home (Residential Position).

Salary
₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Based on qualification and experience)
