We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including financial accounting, procurement documentation, billing processes, and government portal handling. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in GeM portal operations and tendering procedures, along with strong accounting fundamentals.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Maintain accurate financial records and books of accounts.
- Handle day-to-day accounting entries, journal postings, and ledger management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, GST filings, and taxation norms.
Procurement & Documentation
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for procurement activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all procurement transactions.
Billing & Invoicing
- Generate Proforma Invoices and final invoices.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing to clients.
- Track receivables and follow up for payments.
- Handle client queries related to billing and payments.
GeM Portal & Tendering
- Manage company profile and operations on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.
- Upload products/services and participate in bids on GeM.
- Handle end-to-end tendering process, including documentation, submission, and follow-ups.
- Monitor tender opportunities and ensure timely participation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com preferred).
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and procurement processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST compliance.
- Hands-on experience with GeM portal and tendering processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy, or similar).
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in government or EPC/solar-related projects.
- Familiarity with vendor management and contract documentation.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
