Job description
The Placement Officer is responsible for managing and supporting all student placement activities. This role ensures students are well-prepared through assessments, training sessions, attendance monitoring, and timely submission of profiles to the placement team. The officer also maintains strong industry relationships and provides relevant job opportunities to students.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Mock Test Tracking
- Conduct and track regular mock tests to assess student readiness.
- Ensure timely evaluation and reporting of results.
2. Performance Evaluation Rating
- Maintain high accuracy in evaluating student performance across mock tests, assignments, and project assessments.
3. Class Attendance Monitoring
- Monitor daily student attendance.
- Ensure overall attendance meets institutional standards through regular follow-ups.
4. Training Session Hosting
- Plan and host skill-development sessions such as:
- Interview Skills
- Job Portal Training
- Email Writing Techniques
- HR Etiquette & Professional Behaviour
- Ensure sessions are effectively delivered.
5. Training Session Participation
- Achieve high student participation in all training sessions.
- Maintain attendance and engagement records.
6. Profile Submission to CRE
- Collect, verify, and submit student profiles to the CRE team within deadlines.
7. Alumni Relationship Management
- Maintain monthly connections with alumni to understand career progress and build networking opportunities for current students.
8. Direct Vacancy Allocations
- Allocate relevant direct job vacancies to students based on skill set and job suitability.
9. Online Vacancy Allocations
- Share online job opportunities with students/departments to increase placement chances.
10. Industrial Requirements Update
- Collect updated industry requirements and hiring trends.
- Share insights with Team Leaders for alignment with training and placement strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and reporting abilities.
- Ability to evaluate student skills and performance accurately.
- Familiarity with job portals, interview processes, and industry expectations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and documentation.
