We are looking for a diligent, results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations on our shop floor. The ideal candidate will handle team management, ensure safety compliance, meet daily production targets for rubber processing, and maintain strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Monitor daily production schedules to ensure output targets for tread rubber, compounding, or mixing are met on time.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, assign tasks, and motivate shift workers and machine operators. Manage shift attendance and worker deployment.
- Process & Quality Control: Oversee machinery operation (e.g., mixing mills, extruders, kneaders) to ensure materials are processed according to strict compounding and formulation specs.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all workforce members strictly adhere to factory safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S practices).
- Waste & Efficiency Management: Track material usage to minimize rubber compound scrap and optimize machine downtime.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of production yield, breakdown hours, and shift handovers for senior management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer/Rubber Technology, or Chemical Engineering (preferred, but experienced graduates can apply).
- Experience: 1to 4years of supervisory experience on the shop floor of a manufacturing plant—experience in the rubber, polymer, or tire manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with rubber compounding, extrusion, vulcanization processes, or mixing machinery is a massive advantage.
- Languages: Strong communication skills in Hindi and Gujarati to comfortably manage the local on-floor workforce.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership presence, and the ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines.
