Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Area of Responsibility & Description
Supplier Capacity
Identify and mitigate supplier capacity constraints aligned to program master plan; manage RFQs and techno-commercial evaluations
Drive capacity expansion via FTG, tooling duplication, dies, and process improvements; execute end-to-end process plans (stamping & fixtures)
Ensure capacity readiness for ECN changes, model transitions, and carryover parts post-CDMM handover
Conduct vendor evaluation with SQA, tool buy-offs with PED, and ensure PPAP completion
Execution & Governance
Ensure timely execution of FTG development, die shifting, and multi-sourcing with clear milestones and ownership
Maintain strong on-ground presence at supplier locations to drive execution excellence
Enable quick, data-driven decisions through structured reviews and escalations
Stakeholder Management
Align with CPPC & SCM on supplier capacities as per long-term planning and forecast requirements
Collaborate with SCM, Manufacturing, Quality, CDMM, and SSU to meet development and business needs
Optimize shared supplier capacities across LMM, AD, and FD to safeguard production volumes
Team Management
Establish clear ways of working, accountability, and performance management within the team
Experience
12+ Years of experience with expertise in Supply Chain Management, Vendor Capacity Assessment, Central Allocation & Coordination
Industry Preferred

BTech Mandatory
General Requirements
Key Skills & Experiences
Technical Know-how
Stamping process and fixture planning, including AutoForm simulation for BIW & skin panels
Press tool, welding fixture & gauge design; experience in plant tryout and proving
GD&T application, physical part validation, and coating processes (CED / powder coating)
APQP knowledge, vendor evaluation, and risk mitigation
Strong understanding of part fit/function, drawings, material grades, and properties
Role Pre-requisites
Willingness to travel and closely engage with supplier operations as per business needs
Critical Experience
Extensive experience in automotive supply chain, supplier development, or capacity planning
Proven track record in supplier capacity expansion and cross-functional coordination
