About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting records of our company. The role requires approximately 1 hour of dedicated work per day and offers flexible working hours, provided that records are updated accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting records in cloud-based accounting software such as Zoho Books.
- Record and reconcile all business transactions including:
- Sales
- Purchases
- Expenses
- Capital contributions and withdrawals
- Bank transactions
- Vendor and customer payments
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock movement data.
- Ensure all invoices, bills, receipts, and supporting documents are properly recorded and organized.
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations.
- Track accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Maintain complete financial records necessary for preparation of:
- Monthly Profit & Loss Statement
- Monthly Balance Sheet
- Monthly Cash Flow Statement
- Coordinate with management for any accounting or reporting requirements.
- Ensure accounting records are updated regularly and remain audit-ready.
Requirements
- Educational qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software (Zoho Books preferred).
- Must be comfortable working with technology and digital documentation.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with small businesses, startups, manufacturing, or food businesses.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and accounting integrations.
Working Hours & Compensation
- Flexible working hours.
- Approximately 1 hour of work per day.
- Compensation: To be discussed based on experience and qualifications.
