- Design and review electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, load calculations, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, architectural, and plumbing teams.
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Monitor site activities to ensure electrical installations are performed according to approved drawings and standards.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks during construction.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design and installation issues.
- Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project records.
- Assist in project planning, cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement activities.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements for successful candidate
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in construction, building services, or infrastructure projects (depending on position level).
- Knowledge of electrical design standards and construction practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
- Understanding of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and building electrical services.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
