Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, and detailed working drawings for shopping malls and commercial developments.
- Prepare master plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Design efficient retail layouts, anchor store planning, food courts, entertainment zones, atriums, circulation spaces, and service areas.
- Ensure compliance with Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules (TNCDBR), CMDA/DTCP guidelines (as applicable), National Building Code (NBC), Fire & Life Safety regulations, accessibility standards, and other statutory requirements relevant to Trichy.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, façade, landscape, and other consultants.
- Conduct design reviews and site visits to ensure construction quality and adherence to design intent.
- Assist in value engineering and optimization of commercial spaces.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Technical Knowledge
- Shopping mall planning and retail design standards, Commercial building planning and space optimization. Fire & Life Safety requirements.
- Barrier-free accessibility standards, Building services coordination.
- Parking planning and circulation design., Vertical transportation planning (lifts, escalators, travelators). Service corridors, BOH (Back of House), loading/unloading areas, and utility planning.
- Knowledge of local development regulations applicable in Trichy and Tamil Nadu.

- Adobe Photoshop
- Microsoft Office Suite
- PDF markup tools
- BIM workflow experience (Added advantage)
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B. Arch) from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Council of Architecture (CoA) is preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in shopping mall or large commercial project design.
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation.
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple project deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
