Enterprise Digital Product (EDP) is seeking a Mobile App Product Manager to join the Mobile Center of Excellence (MCoE), with additional support responsibilities across Optum app teams as needed.
The MCoE team owns the platforms, tooling, and release infrastructure that power consumer-facing mobile experiences at UnitedHealth Group. This role operates at the intersection of platform product management, mobile engineering, and release operations, driving improvements that enable speed, reliability, and scale across mobile apps.
You will contribute to business-critical systems and release pipelines while helping evolve how teams work through automation, AI, enhancing user journeys, and modern DevOps practices.
Role Overview:
This role is suited for a highly adaptable product manager who can operate across teams and levels of abstraction-from platform strategy to feature delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:

Delivery & Execution

Own and manage features and capabilities end-to-end, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform health

Translate technical and operational pain points into high-impact product improvements

Support release planning, rollout strategy, and communications

Identify and remove blockers to maintain delivery velocity and quality

Required Qualifications:

Experience operating in a complex, matrixed enterprise environment

Solid experience managing stakeholders and senior leaders, including timelines and expectations

Experience delivering digital product initiatives, ideally with a focus on user experience and engagement

Proven ability to drive execution across cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations, business)

Solid project management skills, including planning, coordination, dependency management, and driving work to completion across multiple teams

Solid understanding of mobile app standards and lifecycle management
-
Solid problem-solving skills with demonstrated ownership of production issues and root cause analysis

Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments, breaking down complex problems and delivering incrementally
-
Proven excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences

This role requires solid technical fluency, operational rigor, and leadership presence, with the ability to influence decisions, identify risks early, and continuously improve ways of working
