- Set up and operate a CNC milling machine (3/4/5-axis) or a CNC turning/lathe machine (with or without live tooling/sub-spindle) to produce precision parts from engineering drawings, CAD models, and prototype specs.
- Interpret technical drawings, GD&T callouts, and CAM programs to determine correct tooling, work-holding, and machining sequence.
- Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and fixturing appropriate to the material (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, engineering plastics, etc.).
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM where applicable).
- Edit CNC programs (G-code/M-code) as needed to correct tool paths, offsets, or resolve machining issues.
- Produce one-off and low-volume precision parts to support engineering prototyping and new equipment builds, often from evolving specifications.
