The Role
As a Manager II, Materials / Corrosion Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Scope of Discipline:
- Selection, review of materials for Refinery / Oil and Gas facilities.
- Assessment of Service life Corrosion (SLC), Life Cycle Cost analysis (LCC) for Refinery / Oil and Gas projects.
- Design and review of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems and Corrosion Monitoring (CM) facilities for Refinery / Oil and Gas projects.
- Corrosion Management/Integrity assessment of Refinery / Oil and Gas projects.
- Review of Intelligent Pigging (IP) and engineering assessment of identified pipeline defects.
- Selection and performance evaluation of corrosion inhibitors for oil and gas applications.
- Perform corrosion and materials selection studies in accordance with codes and standards used by the client and/or to agreed industry standards.
- Prepare cathodic protection designs for offshore and onshore facilities, plus internal tank/vessel protection.
- Assess coating requirements for a variety of exposure conditions, and prepare coating specifications and coating selection reports as required.
- To co-ordinate corrosion and integrity management activities with other engineering disciplines and client representative as required to meet project requirements.
- Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc.
- Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

- Standardized Thinking Environment: Substantially diversified procedures and specialized standards.
- Patterned Thinking Challenge: Similar situations requiring solution by discriminating choice of learned things.
- Accountability:
- Cost Control: Work with project teams to optimize material costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to material selection, specifications, testing, and inspection.
- Change Management: Evaluate and manage changes to material specifications or selection during the project lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of materials into the overall project.
- Additional Tasks:
- Assisting Lead Engineer with Project Efforts.
- Exhibits Leadership Traits and Abilities.
- Able to Perform Job Walks in an Operating Facility.
- Operates Well in a Multi-Company Team Environment.
- Digital Savvy and Implement Digital Method of Execution in Engineering Activities.
Advance Skills in MS office (Especially in MS Excel).

About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgy).
- 10 Years Minimum Experience with a Minimum of 7 Years Oil & Gas Experience.
- Good Communication Skill. English Fluent in Speaking and Writing.
Good Team Player. Self-Motivated with a Drive for Results, Improvement, and Innovation.
