Position Summary
We are seeking a Pricing Executive to manage our Far East trade lane. You will source competitive ocean freight rates, negotiate slot space with carriers, and provide fast, profitable quotes to our sales teams to maximize trade lane revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Rate Sourcing: Negotiate slot costs and competitive freight rates directly with shipping lines for Far East routes.
- Quote Management: Provide fast, accurate quotations for spot inquiries, RFQs, and contract tenders.
- Space Allocation: Secure container space and equipment with carriers, especially during peak seasons.
- Market Tracking: Monitor Far East freight trends and competitor pricing to optimize margins.
- Team Support: Work with Sales and Operations to improve booking conversions and resolve rate issues.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of ocean freight pricing/procurement experience (Far East trade lane focus preferred).
- Industry: Proven track record within an NVOCC or container shipping line.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, sharp analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to coordinate with carriers and internal teams.
