About the Project
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Hair Dresser Trainer (ToT Certified) to conduct vocational skill training for children residing in Observation Homes (Child Care Institutions) in Ludhiana and Faridkot, Punjab. The trainer will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical Hair Dressing training, mentoring trainees, and supporting their skill development and rehabilitation through employability-focused training.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Hair Dressing training sessions for children/juveniles residing in Observation Homes.
- Deliver both theory and practical training as per the approved curriculum.
- Train candidates in:
- Hair Cutting
- Hair Styling
- Hair Coloring
- Hair Treatments
- Rebonding & Smoothening
- Keratin Treatments
- Salon Hygiene & Grooming
- Customer Service Skills
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and practical exercises.
- Maintain trainee attendance, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Conduct regular evaluations and mock assessments.
- Provide counselling, motivation, and career guidance to trainees.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and learner-friendly training environment.
- Coordinate with project staff and Observation Home authorities for smooth implementation.
- Submit periodic training reports and documentation as required.
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- Minimum 12th Pass.
- Diploma/Certificate in Hair Dressing, Cosmetology, Beauty & Wellness, or related field.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid ToT (Training of Trainers) Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in Hair Dressing/Salon Operations.
- Minimum 1 year of training experience in vocational training, beauty academy, or skill development projects.
Desired Skills
- Strong practical expertise in hair dressing and salon services.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to work with youth and vulnerable groups.
- Good classroom management and mentoring skills.
- Basic computer and reporting knowledge.
- Patience, empathy, and a learner-centric approach.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Government Skill Development Projects (PMKVY, DDU-GKY, NSDC, State Skill Missions, etc.).
- Experience working with youth, adolescents, child care institutions, NGOs, or social sector projects.
- Local candidates from Punjab will be preferred.
