Job Summary
The Shri Ram Universal School, Perambur is seeking a passionate and experienced TGT English Teacher to teach middle school students in a CBSE environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and student-centered learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to students of Grades 6–8 (higher grades may be assigned based on experience).
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum and NCERT guidelines.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and question papers.
- Evaluate students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and assessment documentation.
- Foster effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Participate in PTMs, school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Support the overall academic and co-curricular development of students.
Eligibility
- Preferably Bachelor's Degree in English (B.A.) and Master's Degree in English (M.A.) is an added advantage.
- Completed B.Ed./enrolling B Ed is mandatory.
- Minimum 2years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Experience handling the NCERT curriculum is preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Sound knowledge of CBSE teaching practices and assessment methods.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching tools.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to school initiatives.
