About the role
We're hiring a freelance video editor to take our interview episodes — roughly one every week — from raw footage to a clean, publish-ready video for YouTube. You'll work independently from the recording with light direction and deliver a finished file on a reliable turnaround.
What you'll do
- Edit raw interview footage into a polished episode: cut dead air, filler words, and mistakes; smooth pacing and transitions
- Add intro/outro branding, lower-thirds (guest name, title, university), and background music where appropriate
- Clean up audio (noise reduction, leveling) and basic color correction
- Add captions/subtitles
- Design a thumbnail for each episode
- Export in the right format/resolution for YouTube
- (Bonus) Cut 2–3 short highlight clips per episode for Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts/LinkedIn
- Deliver each edited episode within 3 days of receiving raw footage, in time for the next publish date
What we're looking for
- Proven video editing experience — please share a portfolio or reel with your application
- Proficient in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
- Specific experience editing talking-head, interview, or podcast-style content (a different skill than general video/motion editing)
- Understanding of what keeps viewers watching on YouTube — pacing, thumbnails, retention basics
- Comfortable working independently from raw footage with minimal direction
- Reliable turnaround — can commit to a consistent biweekly deadline
Pay: From ₹4,000.00 per week
