. For a Telugu Book Proofreader / English → Telugu Translation QC, the key responsibilities are:
- Translation Accuracy – Ensure the Telugu meaning exactly matches the English.
- Completeness – Check for missing, added, or duplicated sentences/paragraphs.
- Telugu Grammar – Check grammar, sentence structure, tense, gender, number, and word usage.
- Spelling & Orthography – Check correct Telugu spelling, guninthalu, ottulu, etc.
- Terminology Consistency – Ensure technical and important terms are translated consistently.
- Names & Proper Nouns – Verify people, places, organizations, titles, and transliterations.
- Numbers & Facts – Check numbers, dates, percentages, units, currencies, and factual details.
- Punctuation – Check commas, full stops, quotation marks, brackets, question marks, etc.
- Readability & Natural Telugu – Ensure the translation does not sound like word-for-word English.
- Context & Tone – Ensure the language is appropriate for the book's subject and target readers.
- Headings & Formatting – Check chapter titles, headings, bullets, tables, captions, and footnotes.
- Consistency – Maintain consistent style, terminology, names, and formatting throughout the book.
- Final Proofreading – Recheck the corrected version and ensure the final book is publication-ready.
