Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Shadow Teacher to provide one-on-one support for a child in a school environment. The Shadow Teacher will assist the child in academic learning, classroom participation, communication, behavior management, and social interaction while promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support during school hours.
- Assist the child in understanding classroom instructions.
- Encourage participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
- Support communication and social interaction with peers.
- Implement behavior management strategies as guided by therapists or parents.
- Help with classroom organization and learning materials.
- Maintain daily progress reports and communicate with parents.
- Coordinate with teachers, therapists, and school staff.
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate assistance.
- Ensure the child's safety and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Special Education or ABA is an added advantage.
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Learning Disabilities, or other special needs is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant training and a genuine interest may also apply.
