Job Summary
L2 PaaS Support Engineer is responsible for providing operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments across public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. The role focuses on ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and performance of cloud-native services while supporting application teams and driving operational excellence. Internal cloud operations references include support for Azure services, AWS services, cloud lifecycle management, compliance, security guardrails, migrations, and Hypercare support.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities PaaS Operations & Support Provide L2 support for coud-hosted PaaS services. Monitor platform health, performance, and availability. Troubleshoot service disruptions, performance degradation, and capacity issues. Perform incident resolution within defined SLAs. Support production deployments and platform releases. Participate in on-call and major incident support activities. turn1search15 Cloud Platform Administration Support and administer services such as: Microsof Azure App Services AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) Azure SQL / SQL MI Azure Storage Accounts Azure Key Vault Azure Functions Azure API Management (APIM) Azure Databricks Azure Data Factory Application Gateway Log Analytics Workspace AWS EKS RDS S3 Lambda CloudFront Route53 IAM SNS/SQS Secrets Manager These platform services are specifically referenced in internal cloud operations and cloud services documentation. turn1search14 Incident & Problem Management Investigate P1/P2/P3 incidents affecting cloud serices. Participate in war rooms and bridge calls. Perform root cause identification and remediation. Create and update Known Error Database (KEDB) articles. Support problem management initiatives to prevent recurrence. turn1search15 Automation & Continuous Improvement Automate routine operational tasks using scrpting. Support Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Assist in self-healing and operational automation initiatives. Drive service improvements through operational metrics analysis. turn1search15 Security & Compliance Ensure compliance with cloud security standards and guardrils. Support IAM and access management activities. Perform platform hardening and configuration reviews. Support audit evidence collection and compliance reporting.
