As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves analyzing various application components to understand client requirements and system behavior. The role includes designing solutions tailored to specific needs, writing and testing code to ensure functionality and reliability, and performing ongoing maintenance and enhancements to improve application performance. Collaboration with team members and stakeholders is a regular part of the day to ensure alignment and address any challenges that arise during development and deployment phases.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Assist in documenting technical specifications and development processes to support knowledge sharing.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
- Familiarity with coding standards and best practices in software engineering.
- Ability to work with version control systems and collaborative development tools.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
